Honeymooning: Los Angeles

Packed up for two weeks away in two big suitcases, one mini suitcase and two totes.. not too bad!
Already a great husband; this day and the excitement feels like yesterday
Ready for takeoff! We were delayed on the runway for a bit for a medical emergency
But we entertained ourselves chatting about the wedding - my voice was making it's way back from the wedding
Some snacks and some naps and before we knew it we were in LA
We stayed at the Beverly Wilshire and our upgraded room was ready right away
Derek spotted the Ellen Degeneres studios in the distance from our balcony
We were hungry and ready to explore
We went down to the pool bar cafe for a snack and drinks
A cupcake ATM at Sprinkles.. Perfect
My husband wearing a wedding ring, holding a cupcake.. again, perfect
We had to be a little touristy and walk by/in Villa Blanca and Kyle Richards' store
Our hotel was right at the end of Rodeo Drive so we spent some time exploring Rodeo and Brighton/Cannon/Wilshire Boulevard
We went back to the hotel to unwind for a bit at BLVD then naps in the room
…and Monday Night Football was on at 5pm
We headed out for dinner.. to Sur, Lisa Vanderpump's restaurant
It was really nothing special, small and dark, and our least favorite meal in LA - but I was still so excited to try it - Peter from the show was there but I didn't get a picture with him, probably because Derek basically laughed in his face
The hotel car was coming back to get us but wasn't ready yet so we wandered up the block
We stumbled upon Pump, Lisa's newest bar/restaurant which was much better and more quiet than Sur.
Note the outfits; I made friends with Calvin (and scored a free drink) who will be in the background of some of the upcoming episodes
One of my favorite outfits of probably the entire trip - we met a couple from London on the way back and hung out with them at Sidebar at the hotel until going to bed

{Tuesday.. Three Days Married}
We slept in then did some breakfast outside at BLVD.. not a bad morning view
We BOTH had nail appointments at the spa to start the day
We went over to the Beverly Hills Hotel for lunch
The celebrity lover in me was thrilled to see the Polo Lounge - we wanted more of a fun lunch though so we ate outside
The pool area was beautiful - we might consider staying there our next trip back even though we loved where we stayed
We had another leisurely and relaxing lunch outside
We picked up a couple things we needed on Rodeo before spending the rest of the day relaxing by the pool
It was perfect to lay and do nothing - first of many times for the next two weeks; we ran into our friends from England at the pool and I borrowed and English tabloid for a little
Dinner at our now favorite steakhouse, Mastros.. we were up in the Penthouse and got to eat outside as the sun went down
Our waitress was fantastic and this surprise dessert was even better
Boarded the plane, really tired, very excited and a little nervous for the long flight over the water.  Of course we both watched Couples Retreat on our little TV's on the way

{Saturday, September 20th.. 11 Days later}
First up the LA Farmer's Market for lunch, exploring and picking up some gourmet treats for Nash at a Doggie Bakery
Then we explored the Grove for a bit
Equivalent to Times Square, we *quickly*explored the walk of fame area
Grauman's Chinese Theater
The Dolby Theater
We had to...
a quick glance at the hollywood sign
Interestingly we stumbled upon both Robin Williams and Joan Rivers' stars

We did some relaxing at the Beverly Hilton since we had a day room there before getting ready for our last honeymoon dinner
The concierge at the Beverly Wilshire before we left recommended Craig's to us because it was up and coming with the celebrities and it did not disappoint - we loved our dinner and the paparazzi was outside when we left (we ate some what early to get to the airport on time)
We were so ready to enjoy our final drinks and then GET HOME!
We both slept most of the way, got in at 5:45am and slept until about 1:30 once we got back to the new house

Next up.. Tahiti
