This & That: Spring Happenings

We've had a great spring, but now we're in full summer mode!

The boys went to their first Phillies game and had a blast - Tatum is really hooked and already wants to go back again.

My Mother's Day presents - a garden on the deck and I got a bunch of tomatoes, different types of peppers and a few other small things to grow.

We had a great adults only overnight to New York City with friends a few weekends ago...

The week before school got out I got to go watch Tatum's field day at school - it was his first time to do it and a cute event.

Palm Beach: Spring Break

We're out of school for the summer but I'm finally catching up on our spring break trip to Palm Beach back in April.  We got in mid afternoon for some time of the beach, then an easy dinner at the Italian restaurant.

The next day it was right back out to the beach for more playing, the pool and dinner at the Seafood Bar that night with tons of playing on the lawn.

We were up early the next day and did all the playing - tennis, putt putt, then early to the pool.  Derek and I had a date night for cocktails, shopping and an early dinner that night and got home in time for ice cream with the boys.

Our last full day was just the same as the others - beach, lunch outside, pool, naps by the pool and I took Tatum over to the kids activity of the day which was painting!
We kept things easy for our last dinner with the Italian restaurant, arcade and playing outside.  We had a nice sunny day the next day for our last day with lots of swimming then a late lunch at the Seafood Bar.

Spring Fun

Tatum's activities have been keeping us on our toes this spring doing all sorts of sports.  Golf, tennis and swimming will continue through the summer but we just wrapped up soccer and have only one tee ball game left.

Baseball is a clear favorite and we play just about every night outside.  Saturday mornings at the baseball field have been fun for all of us.

He did soccer on Mondays right after school which was very convenient - he enjoyed it much more than he did in the fall.

Basketball was another favorite from last fall and he has a few more sessons left before we break for summer.

Swimming lessons have been his biggest improvement this spring - swimming across the pool on his own, back float and diving deep for toys.

And the sports that are just starting for the season - golf is still a favorite and weekly tennis is becoming a big favorite too.
