Weekend Before Christmas Scenes

We kicked this weekend off on Thursday night for our annual Christmas date night - dinner in the city and the Nutcracker.  We weren't able to go last year so it was great to be back.

Friday evening we hosted our annual Christmas Party which has switched from an adults party into a family party where we do the kids gift exchange, reindeer food, crafts, etc.  This year we setup a little snack bar and movie night for them in the playroom at the end of the night for fun.

Saturday we had a lazy day - relaxing and starting to get ready for Christmas then went to a friend's house for dinner to see Santa come around on the firetruck.

Finishing up the weekend we had Gingerbread Wonderland at our country club.  Tatum was so excited to put "all the candy" on his house.  Next year Teddy can join in the fun too.

December Things

What a wonderful December this has been - like usual it started off organized and slow and now its a whirlwind of chaos! I was thrilled to be allowed into Tatum's school for Gingerbread Day.

We had a neighborhood ladies cookies exchange for the first time which was a blast - everyone brought their cookies, an appetizer and a small Christmas decor gift.

We've had a few fun family Christmas nights doing miscellaneous activities with the boys - this night I made favors for Tatum's class (m&m's in ornaments) while the boys made gingerbread men for us to decorate.

Another big highlight and first for us was getting to attend Tatum's Christmas show in person instead of virtual - it was a sweet day with a family lunch after.

Tatum held his and Teddy's letter to Santa the entire car ride to this display and was clearly thrilled to drop them off.  They just got a letter back yesterday!

Brunch with Santa & Other Christmas Scenes

Friday we picked Tatum up from his Christmas party at school and went out to lunch to kick off Christmas Break.  We let Tatum pick out his present for both of us and Teddy afterwards too.

That night we went to a local park to see the huge Christmas display all lit up and then had a low key night at home.

Saturday morning we were off bright and early to drive through the fire station to see the trucks and Santa and drop off some donations.

Next up was a train ride to see Santa - both boys loved it.  They got to see Santa a few times, sing songs and go out for lunch with friends after.

Last up for the day was a neighborhood party with Santa, crafts and fun with neighbors.  It was pretty windy but unseasonably warm so nice to be outside!

To finish out the weekend on Sunday it was one of our favorite events that we missed so much last year - Brunch with Santa at the country club.  We enjoyed seeing Santa yet again and fun with family and friends.
