Spring Break Accessories

Spring is here and I'm hoping for things to warm up soon but spring breaks have started and we're excited to head somewhere warm for a quick trip soon.

I always like neutrals but I love how crisp white looks over the summer - white earrings are my go to summer earring and coral tassel/fringe isn't far behind.  Straw clutches and totes are classic for a beach day or night - hoping for a lot of those soon!

17 Month Favorites

Happy Monday!  I used to do these posts each month the first year and time has been flying since Tatum hit that one year mark.  A lot of these items have been favorites the past month or so - he's into a good routine with playing, eating, etc. and these are many of our go to things that he has to have.

This is the favorite toy of the moment right now - he loves golf just like Daddy and will use just about anything he can as a golf club to work on his swing.

He enjoys flipping through them in the playroom and we also are into the routine of reading a book or two before bedtime each night.

This was one of his Christmas presents and we just recently removed the floor board since he's gotten a little bigger and can *almost* use his feet to move around himself.  He also loves hanging on the back of it.

These are his favorite water bottle (to drink water out of - he refuses milk from these).  He also just recently started to love drinking out of straws.

These amongst many other snacks are a big favorite - we're just about done with these since he can eat/chew a lot more now but he'd run into the pantry and pick these for himself a lot.

This is a recent one that my in-laws got him - he's learned how to get himself in and out of the stand and loves standing playing with kitchen utensils, doing puzzles, etc.  He'll be a great age for it in about 6 months to help out with little kitchen tasks, baking and such.

While he loves his play kitchen, playing with the food is his favorite.  Carrying it around, pretending to eat or give us to eat and taking it in/out of his shopping bag and cart.

Disney Mickey (and friends)
His little Mickey Mouse... and all the friends are right up there with his golf clubs as favorite.  He has one tucked under his arm a lot and usually likes one of them in his crib with him too.

We were late to the baby proofing game but once Tatum could open doors we were on it to secure doors and some (not all) cabinets that he loved to get into.

He has very varied meals so these divided plates are great to keep all the different foods organized.  The ones we like the best are from Target and less than a dollar - they come in tons of colors and sizes.  Silverware too.

This & That

It's been a while!  We've been just trying to keep up with life and I'm hoping to get some usual "Friday Favorites" and other posts like that up soon.  Last weekend we enjoyed our first weekend home all three of us in almost a month!  We were lazy and it was the best!

We had a couple little snows at the end of February/start of March that kept Tatum and I home for the morning and then the day - he's at the age where he needs to be doing something and by the end was totally going stir crazy.  Last week, however, we started having some warmer days in the afternoons and get outside when we can to run around and play!

With Tatum appreciating a year and a half next month - our days our filled - sometimes gym, sometimes play at home, sometimes new adventures.  We do music or reading at the library a lot and during his first go at music we met Lovie & Poppy for lunch at Chick-Fil-A for his first time to eat there (he's had takeout before).  All the activities make him ready for nap and of course still ready to play a lot with Stella.

On Monday we celebrated Uncle Davey's birthday with the family - a delicious meal and then he requested a cake for dessert that I had fun making.

Weekend Scenes

Happy Wednesday!  We've been trying to keep up with daylight savings and catch up from a fun weekend away.  Derek and I spent the weekend in NYC with some friends - we got there mid afternoon on Friday and after a little bit of spending time with friends at the hotel we all headed out to the Sugar Factory for dinner.

Saturday from 10am-2pm we went to Cycle for Survival - an amazing event and cause for rare cancers. We all rotated who was biking during the four hours on our five bikes in addition to the many other bikers there.

We were ready for some food and relaxing after!  After lunch at the hotel we headed out for a quick bit of shopping.  We met up with some other friends from out of town to for a little bit and I'm so excited to be in their wedding next June (Tatum and Derek are also)!

That night we went out for drinks and appetizers for our last night in the city.  We had a little bit of time the next morning to grab breakfast then we were on the train back home.  We were so excited to see Tatum - especially since it was nap time, ha!  So the three of us took nice long naps on the couch and continued to try to adjust to the time change.

To finish off the weekend we took Tatum and Stella over to a doggie birthday party and they both had a blast - Tatum loved having cake before dinner.

Snow Day

On Friday we woke up to a bunch of snow on the ground.  We were visiting my parents so I bundled Tatum up to go out and play as well as Stella.  Stella loved the snow as always and this was the first time that Tatum really had fun playing in the snow - he ran in circles laughing and smiling.  He always plays with his shovel in the house so he loved pushing it in the snow.

Weekend Scenes

Happy Monday! We had a snowstorm last night into today... the second of the weekend! Derek was away on a golf trip all weekend so Tatum and I were off to fend for ourselves.  Thursday afternoon we went over to my parents house for dinner and to spend the night.  I snuck out to take Stella on a walk and then my mom made us tacos for dinner.

Tatum got a lot of attention from everyone and got to stay up late.  I enjoyed a relaxing night by the fireplace and then early to bed.

Friday morning we woke up to a few inches of snow.  More on that tomorrow but Tatum had the best time playing and my mom made us a delicious breakfast of muffins and casserole.

Once the streets cleared we headed home for the afternoon and then after making some brownies headed to a neighbors for dinner.  I put Tatum down to bed early and caught up on DVR on the couch.

Saturday morning after some playing and cleaning we went to the gym and grocery store before spending the afternoon playing after naps.

Saturday evening I had some girlfriends into town to visit and we headed out for dinner and drinks to catch up. It was a great visit - we relaxed the next morning and then had lunch before they left.

Yesterday Tatum took a nice long 3 hour nap and then we played the rest of the day.  We had a little crockpot dinner date dand after Tatum went to bed I took some time to relax by the fire during the snow storm.
