This & That

We've been doing all the fall/Halloween things lately.  Sports are coming to and end - we have a little baseball left but have loved our Friday nights at the field.

Tatum's been loving school and Teddy's made a new friend in Stella to pass the time while big brother is out.

At the start of the month we got into the Halloween spirit with a bucket for each boy and some festive pajamas...

Derek and I went on a couples trip to Charleston at the start of the month.  It hit right during Hurricane Ian but luckily we were safe and it didn't ruin too much of the trip.  Thursday we got some supplies for the next day and were able to enjoy the afternoon and dinner.  Friday we had to stay at the hotel until late afternoon but we all made the most of it, had fun then enjoyed the rest of the weekend!

Tatum's Fifth Birthday Nerf Party

A week before his fifth birthday, we had Tatim's birthday party with friends.  He wanted a nerf gun theme which proved to be more fun than I could have thought!  We had a little party bag for each kid with nerf essentials and they played hard!

I think we now have a lifetime supply of bullets and there were plenty of other accessories to use for the kids.  I made a few DIY Targets, some of which we still have for Tatum to play with.

We had apps, turkey sandwiches, pasta and salad then of course a dessert bar with tons of sweet treats for the kids to enjoy in.

Dallas: Part Two

Our final day in Dallas we did all of the things.  We started at Play Street and the boys had a blast playing - Tatum came home with some ideas of new things he wanted at home.

Next up it was Tolf Golf - both boys wanted it to be their turn, every turn but we all had fun!  We went over to Highland Park Village for lunch at Mi Cocina afterwards.

We took a little break at the hotel for cookies and lemonade, did a long visit to the pool and Derek and I traded off massages while the boys napped.

To finish off our trip we walked to dinner at The Sugar Factory.  Both boys thought it was really cool and Tatum loved picking out his own candy.

Dallas 2022: Part One

Back in mid-September we had a great trip back to Dallas - it was Teddy's first time and Tatum's first time back in a few years.  We got in mid-day and went to the stadium for Rally Day - the boys loved running around on the field and playing on the inflatables.

It was hot so we headed to the hotel to check in - the complimentary margarita shots and guacamole are always so delicious.  We had early reservations at our favorite restaurant, Nick and Sam's - but not quite early enough.  Tatum fell asleep sitting in his chair after eating and Teddy was getting tired so Derek and I had appetizers and then got our meals to go to eat in the room.

Sunday we had a lazy morning, breakfast in the lounge and let the boys play in the pool for a while.

We went over to the stadium early to do all of the things and had a blast at the game.  The boys did great and enjoyed it (Teddy took a little nap on my lap).

It was a low key night of room service and bed early for all of us!
