Five on Friday

To say I'm thrilled with the weather this week would be an understatement.  Perfect days every day and it looks like it's going to carry on into the weekend.  Now that's what I'm talking about.  I also probably spent way to much time stalking the royal family since my obsession grew after Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana's birth.

Linking up today with April, Karly, Amanda and Erika

{O N E} Favorite Outfit
I had so much fun sharing some outfit details last week and happy to do it again this week then I just realized I was terrible at remembering! Here's to trying next week! The pictures that I did get are average at best but oh well...
I can't say enough good things about this dress - I put it on in the morning and it lasted me until I went to bed for errand running, my cousins first communion party, time out on the deck, some social time, etc.   The three quarter length sleeves are perfect for spring and the mix of temperatures.

I shared my favorite pieces in the Lilly Pulitzer summer line + some favorite recent old navy purchases (most of which are on sale) during my saturday shopping session post in case you missed it.  I'll have another on up tomorrow!

{T W O} Favorite Recipe
I'd pinned this a while ago and had been wanting to try it.  Let me tell you, SO easy and SO delicious.  Once the shrimp were gone, we had people using the dip on hamburgers, hotdogs, etc.  Just one note - the dip does make a bigger amount than I thought - next time I would either cut it in half or get more shrimp.  I'd also probably cook the shrimp for a few less minutes.

 Spicy Dipping Sauce Recipe:
1 1/2 cup low fat mayo
4 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
1 tablespoon sriracha
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

+mix all ingredients together in a bowl
+store in refrigerator until time to serve

Baked Shrimp Recipe:
+ preheat oven to 350 degrees
+ lay shrimp on a baking sheet and sprinkle with oil, salt, pepper and old bay
+ cook for 20 minutes or a little less

How great would this be for outdoor serving (still on that kick) so that nothing gets into the food and it looks pretty too.

With my strong love for lemonade, especially in the spring/summer months as well as a passion for party bars, I'm actually surprised I've never thought of or done this before but a lemonade bar.

{F O U R} Favorite Monogram
I ordered this tote from Chelsea's Etsy shop a couple weeks ago and was so happy when it quickly came in the mail.  I used it for the first time this week (I was heading to my parents for dinner and usually bring workout clothes to walk with Steve and Nash, my ipad and a couple other things) and it fits a ton!

{F I V E} Plusses of the Week
We babysat Nash one night this week while my parents were out for the evening and I just love getting quality time with my first pup (the family dog) plus he always tires Stella out and I love how their coloring matches.
This week was a week with Stella and I'll just leave it at that with the height of the problems being Wednesday so sometimes you just have to throw the dinner plans out the window, freeze what you were planning and indulge in some pizza, some wine and some outside dining.  And some ice cream once you get home :)
Derek didn't have to go into the office until later yesterday because of an afternoon event so he swung by my office on the way in to bring us lunch... My FAVORITE lunch :)

Last night we had a busy night with an array of gatherings starting for me with a retreat to my parents house (my favorite) and ending off for both of us with wine night with some friends and I'm so looking forward to another weekend with a good mix of activity, downtime and hopefully some extra sleep! And of course the best part... celebrating my mama! (Hi, Mom :))
