Shopping Session

It has been months since my last shopping session - way too long.  Spring is upon us and I can't seem to stop myself from browsing all the stores.  In my opinion this is the best season to shop and I could browse for hours. There's sure to be some sales this holiday weekend (I'll share Friday any that I see) so I've been making my picks to get ready.

Flamingo Espadrilles
How perfect! I love that they are neutral color but I'm also still loving the flamingo trend so that's the perfect touch.  On the weekends, evenings or depending on the type of work day even sometimes then, espadrilles are my go to shoe in the spring time.  (available in pineapple here)

Floral Peplum Tankini
Bathing suit styles - especially tankinis and one pieces - are becoming so much more popular and available in more styles.  It's perfect because sometimes a girl just wants to be a little bit more covered up! Floral and peplum sold me right away but I also picked up (and love) this tiered top too.  I like that both tops can match the bottoms and with Target's BOGO 50% off right now, you can't beat the price.

I found these at the mall the other day and fell in love with the fit (it's hard when you're short!) and I also hate pants - dresses are my item of choice so that's saying a lot.  I'm going back Friday to pick up a couple pairs because I needed to check what colors I even needed first (they come in a ton of colors!  See them all here)

I couldn't leave out a Lilly item.  The Elsa tops are my favorite but I pretty much only wear them when it's a tad cooler so I'm loving this sleeveless style (available in four patterns, five in stores).

Steve Madden Sandals
Primarily I try to buy nude color shoes (with an occasional print or color) but I need to update my black sandals and love the style of these.

Pink Floral Dress
Florals, feminine and pale pink - three of my favorites.  It's a a great price point too.

Tie Tank Top
I love how this has the tie neck and it's a little more subtle when on.  This print has caught my eye on a lot of pieces (dress / t-shirt / long sleeve top)

Bloomstripe Shift Dress
The colors of this dress really grabbed me and the pattern.  It's different than many items in my closet and I'm always looking for some unique pieces to add to the collection. (30% off now)

Lace Peplum Top
Lavender isn't a color I have much of and it's classic spring. Peplum + lace is a fabulous combination too.

Pleated Dress
I saw this last week and have been kicking myself for not picking it up - such a sweet pattern.  Luckily, they had plenty in stock so I can scoop it up this weekend.

Sleeveless Blouse
Last but not least since it's 40% off, this one made it's way into my cart too.  The colors are perfect for spring whether alone or with a sweater.

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Enjoy your day! xx

Friday's Feature: Recent Fashion Favorites

T G I F - and I mean that! This week dragged and dragged, so happy that the weekend is upon us.  Yesterday was our first true day of fall like weather… and it sure was cool out.  Cool enough for my first Wawa mac and cheese of the season. Tis the season for fall meals because we used our crockpot three times this week (and are planning already to use it three times next week).

Feature:

I held off on fall shopping for a bit (mostly because I had to - the stores hadn't fully switched over their inventory) but this week between online shopping and a trip to the mall with my best shopping partner (hi, mom!) I can say that my fall wardrobe has been highly boosted and I have many new "fashion favorites" at the moment.

Florals:
The fact that the floral trend has continued into fall makes me so happy. I hope it lasts a very long time - I could wear florals day after day after day. Happy to share that both of these first two are from Target and are under $23.

Tops:
Due to honeymooning, football season, wedding season and setting up a new house last year at this time, it's easy to say that fall clothes weren't the first thing on my mind - I tried to jump from summer into winter with layering and other things.  This year I've loved getting some nice tanks and t-shirts for layering as well as the mixed fall weather.

Bottoms:
Who has an easy time finding pants that they love? Not me.  This year I haven't found a pair of pants that I don't like at Banana Republic.  Game Changer.  Jeans and the Sloan Pants are my go to's.

Dresses:
There are more than enough fall dresses I'd love to have but once the much cooler weather gets cooler, I like to only get dresses that would work well with black leggings so that I can easily carry them over into the winter weather too.

Other Happenings:

+ Tory Burch is having one of their amazing sales right now (spend $300 - get 20% off, spend $500 get 25% off, spend $750, get 30% off).  Shop away!! {My favorite black espadrilles are marked down too!)

+ Did anyone else watch Nickelodeon as kids?? Starting on October 5th "Teen Nick" will show some of the childhood shows from 10pm - 6am.

+ Snapchat - I'm so late to the party but I'm getting into the groove of it and having fun with it (to be honest most of my snaps are of game day, my puppy or food) but if you'd like to follow along you can find me at (miss_tinalea).

Cheers to the Weekend! & Stay Dry!

Shopping Session: Everly Dresses

everly dresses
I've said before I'm not a fashionista but I love these too much to not share.  I have become completely obsessed with some of the new Everly dresses at Nordstrom.

When walking into Nordstrom my friend and I both spotted the hot pink one on first glance and separately ran right to it.  These dresses are comfortable, flattering and have a great look.  I've added three of the above pieces to my closet and had to stop myself from getting more.

I love these dresses because based on the piece they can be used for a variety of outings - they are such versatile pieces.  The high neck swing dress I can see being used for anything from a summer outdoor wedding to a nice dinner out.  The woven shift dress I can picture for a girls night out or a weeknight dinner.  I think really all of them could work for just about any summer occasion you may come across based on what the occasion is.

I've been trying to wear the ones I've purchased any chance I get but just haven't had the right opportunity yet {I feared if I waited until I wore them all they'd be sold out - especially with the sale coming up}.  The pink shift will be perfect for an upcoming wedding with some statement jewelry, I'm planning to use the royal blue florals for our upcoming anniversary trip and the royal blue and white florals is actually laying out right now for a weekend trip.

I highlighted the shift dresses since they are the style I have and can't seem to stop obsessing over but this line also has a good amount of maternity options for all those mamas to be out there.

Shopping Session: Summer Totes & Pineapples

{Summer Totes}
Tri-Coastal Design : (less than $30!) This tote was just added online and would be the perfect beach addition - It might just have to be my next sumer tote.
Hayden Reis: This is a timeless favorite.  I took this on our honeymoon as a carry on and it's unbelievable what will fit in here! It's also waterproof, has a ton of matching items, can be monogrammed and comes in a bunch of patterns.

Cathy's Concepts: (less than $40!) This bag comes in a variety of colors (navy, orange, hot pink) and can be monogramed with your initial or a symbol.
Tory Burch: How cute? Need I say more.
Tory Burch: A toned down, classic look, this bag would be perfect for any beach adventure.  Tory bags are always pretty sturdy too.
Lilly Pulitzer: A little wild with the patterns but you can't beat the bright colors.  The bag is a flimsier material but can hold a ton.
Kate Spade: The sunglasses and stripes are a perfect combo.  This splurge would look great by the pool.
Nordstrom: (on sale for just $12!) You really can't beat the sale price and the little quirky cuteness to this bag is perfect for a fun day out.
Target: (under $10) These patterns are amazing and you'll be able to slightly see all your items through the bag making for easy finds.
Kate Spade: This one can double as a cooler (perfect for packing those day drinkin' cocktails) or can be just a tote as well.  The gold makes a nice statement and this one has a classy look.

{Pineapple Obsession}
I am loving the pineapple trend this year and I know I'm not the only one because they seem to be everywhere! In addition to the two toes above (there's also plenty more out there) here are some of my favorite pineapple finds & wants.  The Tory Burch clutch would go perfectly with the matching sold out sandals if they restock them.

{Recent Favorites: Shoe Edition}
It wouldn't be a shopping session if I didn't share a few recent favorites, right?!  When doing the big "closet switch" back in early April - I realized that I really needed to update my beige wedges.  I decided to find some alternatives and am really loving this pair as well as this pair.  I'm still on the hunt for the perfect tan wedge as well.
For a fun pair - I'd never checked out this type of Jack Roger's before but am loving this style a lot more than the more classic style.
