Weekend Scenes: First of December

We had the best first Christmas celebrating weekend and have an overload of pictures.  This was our only weekend with no set plans so we tried to take in a lot of local activities going on.  We kicked things off on Friday with a family trip to the mall to see Santa (more to come on that).

After our official visit we had lunch with Lovie, Poppy and Uncle Davey then did a bit of Christmas shopping around the mall.

Friday night we grabbed an early dinner and then went to a lighting ceremony at a local park.  Trees, displays, etc. it was cool to see the park all lit up at once.  We put Tatum to bed a little bit late and watched a movie on the couch.

Saturday morning Tatum was up bright and early - after some errands and housework we went to a Santa parade - the parade was quick and then we took Tatum up to meet Santa - he did a lot better than the day before!

Tatum loved the balloons and balloon animals that they were handing out.  We walked over to lunch and then all headed home for an afternoon of naps.

The weather was rainy and gross on Saturday night so in the midst of a casual dinner with friends we spent a lot of time relaxing on the couch.

Tatum treated us yesterday by sleeping in.

Yesterday morning we met my parents and brother for a children's Christmas show at the theater - Jack Frost Saves Christmas.  The show was just under an hour and for the first part Tatum sat so well in his booster seat.  He got a little antsy later on but the show was interactive and the theater wasn't full so he did well.  We walked to lunch afterwards for a fun family day.

After a relaxing afternoon around the house we finished out our festive weekend by grabbing dinner then going to our town's tree lighting.  It's a small little event but fun for the kids - it was misting a little bit but it was a good end to a fun weekend.
