Napa Valley: Part One

Two weeks ago Derek and I made a quick trip to Napa Valley for some early birthday celebrations. We took the first flight out of Philadelphia and actually ran into a friend at the airport while we waited. We had a car service pick us up for the hour and a half ride into Napa.

We dropped out stuff at the hotel and walked over to the Yountville Deli for lunch - delicious food.

Our only stop for the first day was Domaine Chandon - right across from our hotel - Hotel Yountville. We each did a wine flight - sparkling for me, reds for Derek and enjoyed the views outside.

Before we headed back to the hotel we enjoyed sitting on the chairs outside - while it was 90 degrees it was a dry heat and there was a nice breeze.

We sat on a couch by the pool and read/relaxed until it was time to get ready for dinner that night.

We had the hotel car drop us off for dinner and then we walked back after through the quaint and quiet town of Yountville.  We went to R+D Kitchen and split a bunch of sushi before having a drink on the patio and heading back.

After a little bit of time by the fire pit we were off to bed early after a long day.

  6. It is more like a relaxing tour. If you are going on a adventurous tour, you should carry all your safety equipment gear. These walking aids will give you a more stable walk and help you to have a balanced tour.
