Now, that's my kind of Christmas tree. And Christmas party.
This was our first weekend home with zero plans on the calendar since early October. Or maybe even late September (I lost track). We decided to take it easy but also do some festive things too. A local tree lighting, riding around looking at Christmas lights and an afternoon at the Christmas village topped the "to do" list. We didn't do any of that and had the best time low-keying it.
We did however have a date night out, put a dent in our Christmas shopping with a day date on Friday (and plenty of time at the Macy's family & friends sale), saw some friends, and added a garland in front of our TV (which I might add, I love and it adds the perfect touch!). And how about those Eagles putting a beating on the Patriots - such a sweet victory!
A little "this & that" of a few weekend snaps…
A view of some of our outside decorations. I love looking through the front door (from the inside) and seeing that twinkle light up the porch.
Stella was happy with the bowl game pick for the Nittany Lions. You know what we'll be doing January 2 at noon (Hello, Taxslayer Bowl and the Georgia Bulldogs).
Didn't mind this view of twinkly lights for a dinner date.
How I spent most nights this weekend. Christmas pajamas AND wine in a Christmas glass is a win for me. (One of the additions to our Spode collection for this season was a few glasses which I am in love with).
Seriously, I wasn't kidding about the above photo. This was even on a different day than the above. I always send my mom a photo of Stella each day. On this day I think I sent her a minimum of about five.
A Saturday night in with Elf and mexcian night?! don't mind if I do. Not pictured: do it yourself Nachos. #gobig
And some festive sweet treats? Why not. Calories don't count in December right? JK, I had a long morning gym session in return for these babies.
Coach joining in the broadcast for the Big Ten Championship game. We were pretty wrapped up in College football games this weekend with the championships as well as Selection Sunday.
Lots of Christmas movies were watched, time on the couch was spent. See a theme here? A bubble bath and extra sleep also took place and I'm already looking forward to a quiet start to the new year.
Christmas cards - stuffed, sealed and stamped.
Today is the LAST day to enter to win these fabulous Lilly Pulitzer goodies yet?! These treats would make a great gift to give for the holidays or perfect to keep for yourself. If you haven't entered, make sure to do so in the rafflecopter below. The giveaway ends tonight at midnight!
Looks like the perfect first weekend of Christmas. Love your front door decor and the festive touches you have inside. I LOVE your wine glasses, I have a set of Spode just like them, they are my FAVORITE this time of year. How about that Big Ten game? It was crazy, right? Cheers for Christmas Cards!!!
