Friday's Feature: Apple Cider Sangria

I'm planning on making apple cider sangria for our Thanksgiving Eve dinner.  It looks like the perfect drink to kick off the holiday and sounds so delicious, not to mention festive.

Ingredients:
one bottle pinot grigio
2 1/2 cups apple cider
1 cup club soda
1/2 cup ginger brandy
3 apples, chopped
3 pears, chopped

Directions:
combine all ingredients and stir well.  Let sit and refrigerate for at least a half hour before serving. enjoy!

Other Happenings:

+ These pajamas came in the mail last weekend and I can't stop wearing them.  They are so comfortable not to mention festive for Christmas.

+ We had one of my favorite chicken dishes on a cooler night this week - Parmesan Chicken (not to be confused with Chicken Parm).  If you've never tried it, you must.  It's quite flavorful and such a treat.

+ Five weeks until Christmas.  FIVE.  It's hard to believe that December is just a little over a week away.

+ Have you entered this giveaway for a $335 Nordstrom Gift Card yet?  You can buy yourself a lot of goodies with that little gift or get a lot of Christmas shopping for others done.  While your at it, make sure to pop over and wish Pamela a Happy Day.

Cheers to the Weekend & 'Tis the Season!

  21. I have a fantastic recipe for Parmesan Chicken that is so easy and really good! Every time I tell someone about it they always think I'm referring to Chicken Parm. Haha. It's a good thing you clarified that in your post.

    1. I can't believe that - when I added them earlier in the week they were still in stock! Well, I guess I can believe it since they are quite cozy and festive. Sorry about that! Those five weeks are going to fly!

  24. I find that letting the sangria sit for a while before serving makes it taste so much better! I usually make mine a few hours before
