Arizona: Grand Canyon {And Sedona Part 2}

top: here / jeans: here

If you missed the first part of our trip, you can read all about our first two days amongst the gorgeous red rock scenery in Sedona right here.

Day Three: Grand Canyon: Enchantment had a great little "grab and go" station in the lobby - also great breakfast smoothies - so we picked up a few things to enjoy on our decks before an early pickup by Pink Jeep Tours to head up to explore the Grand Canyon for the day.

The temperatures were in the lower 50's up in the Grand Canyon but we lucked out because two days earlier it was snowing up there (we passed some snow on the ground on the way up)!  We did a few stops around the south rim - our first one had my favorite views and we had about 40 minutes to explore before going over to Grand Canyon Village for lunch.  We had the nicest little meal at the El Tavor Hotel and checked out the shops before making two other stops - one on a tower lookout - before making the trek back down to Sedona.

After a little freshening up it was straight to our favorite spot, the fire pit, for one more night of cocktails over looking that fabulous scenery.  Since we'd been out all day we decided to do the hotel's main restaurant, Ti Gavo.

Up next... warmer weather in Phoenix.

  2. The Grand Canyon is gorgeous! I flew over it once heading out to CA for vacation, but have never visited. And I love that the hotel you staying in had a fire pit to hang out at in the evening! That's a smart move by the hotel!
