Around the House:
With the exception of Christmas (when the whole house is decorated), I try to gather a couple little holiday pieces for each holiday which are primarily displayed in either our eating nook, kitchen and/or dining room areas. Last year I think we had precisely two bunnies on the decor front for Easter but with our second Easter in the new house, I've tried to pick up a few more things... not a lot by any measure.
Placemats: Target (old) / Easter Bunnies / Home Goods (old) / Easter Wreath: Michael's (available in stores)
All Easter Items: Michael's (available in store)
I'm not sure where the bunnies are from but the cute "Here's to Spring" want topper in the background can be found here. My mom gifted it to me one night when we were hosting dinner and it would be perfect to bring on a bottle of wine to Easter gatherings - or any spring event.
Decor Favorites:
I just put out our Easter decor last week when I got back from Florida and it's most definitely not too late to pick up some extra things. As a bonus - three of the four items below are already on sale!
Hello Spring Banner
I love this because it will last from now until around Memorial Day. Anything that's seasonal is always better in my book.
Bunny Salad Plates
How cute are these? A weekends of mine is definitely appetizer plates. In my defense, I'm always using them though. I love putting out cocktail sized plates for people to load up their appetizers onto so they don't have to just hover over the table.
Ceramic Eggs
A perfect centerpiece, accent, etc. You could pair these together, use them separately or get a few of just one of the colors - I'm eyeing a couple of the yellow ones.
On the Table:
I still like sticking to tradition and celebrating holidays as we always have and for Easter that's church followed by a big brunch at a restaurant, venue, the country club, etc. afterwards. A new tradition that Derek and I started last year is to host an Easter Eve dinner the night before which we are continuing again this year. This year will be pretty similar to last year's menu (can be found here) with the usuals like baked ham, macaroni and cheese, broccoli salad as well as a few tweaks - it's always fun to try some new things.
One thing on the menu for sure? The Cadbury Cream Egg Trifle that I made for dessert last year - delicious!
I've wanted to try bacon wrapped asparagus and I've never seen the touch of the crescent roll before but I don't hate it.
We may already be having mac and cheese but I do like a lot of sides so people can pick their pleasure. I also usually line up tupperware containers on the counter after dinner so everyone can take a little bit home.
This would be a great smaller item to serve along with the ham
I've actually never made my own deviled eggs - either just enjoyed my grandma's or cheated with the pre-made ones at the store. I didn't even really like the filling until recently. Avocado tastes great with everything so it couldn't hurt to add it into the mix.
Other Inspiration:
Using peeks as a drink topper? Sounds perfect to me.
Chocolate covered strawberries are the perfect little dessert to add to the dessert table and after seeing this I think I'll definitely be running to Target to pick up one of those chocolate bunnies to add to the display.
Using eggs as a vase filler is the perfect touch for when using fake flowers. I'm hoping to find some nice tulips before Easter and if not, this could be a good backup.
A good tablescape is always key and having a little treat basket for each person to take home with candy to enjoy later could be the perfect extra touch. I might try to find mini Easter baskets though or something a little softer.
You always have the best decor around the house each season. I love Easter cuteness.
ReplyDeleteLove that candle ring on your table! Those app plates are super cute, too. I have been loving holiday dinnerware lately - if I could have them for all the major holidays, I would be one happy girl. Oh and those ceramic eggs are great - I love the design on them!
ReplyDeleteAll the little touches are so cute - I've added a few more pastels around the house, but I don't really do too much for Easter! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteI love the ceramic eggs! I love your Easter decorations--I've just put out springy stuff since Easter is so early this year. I love the idea of mini Easter baskets for your guests--can't wait to see what you do!

I can't believe that it's almost Easter! My mom was putting out Easter decorations last night and I was about to say that it was too early for that... until I realized it's like 12 days until Easter. Whoops. Love your decorations!
ReplyDeleteOh I love that spring wall hanging! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteSO cute!! I have zero Easter decor up and everything I go to Home Goods it practically begs me to buy some. But I'm holding off until next year when I have my own apartment. My roommate isn't a big fan of too much "stuff" and I overloaded her in the fall! lol
ReplyDeleteI love your decor though! So cute!
I love this time of year! I mean how can those decorations not put you in the best mood right?
ReplyDeleteI love your Easter decor! I cant have that type of stuff around anymore because my kitten will destroy it all while I am at work. It's so pretty though. I love the Easter pastels! That Cadbury Egg trifle looks delicious! Those are my jam!
ReplyDeleteI love the peeps as a drink topper - so cute, although I'm not sure how long mine would last. Ha! I love all your Easter decorations, especially those bunnies on your table! -Leah Chasing Texas
ReplyDeleteYour decorations are SO cute!!! Now I want to go back to TJ Maxx and buy the decorations that I saw there haha. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove it all! We did a peeps centerpiece one year but i would love it even more as a drink garnish! Those asparagus bundles look great!
ReplyDeleteI love how the decor is simple, understated, elegant, and not at all tacky. The food looks-and sounds-amazing, too! My husband and I love eating Avocado egg salad, so we'll have to give those deviled eggs a try sometime!
ReplyDeleteCute! I love your decor! I'm sharing ours tomorrow. We keep it pretty simple as well.
ReplyDeleteAnd oh my goodness, PEEPS AS A DRINK TOPPER?! Sign me up! I love those things, but I've seen a lot of memes people have been posting lately about throwing them in the trash. Lol. I guess I'm the only one!
That Cadbury Cream Egg Trifle looks AMAZING!!
ReplyDeleteI adore how festive you always are with the holidays - I'm majorly guilty of not putting any effort into Easter. Ryan almost always has to work (such as the case this year), and since no family will be joining us, I just move straight on to the spring decor. Those bunny dishes are adorable, and Peeps on a cocktail glass? Heck yes!
ReplyDeleteI've been planning our menu for easter dinner since we throw a party for friends every year. Deviled eggs is a must and your cadbury cream egg trifle sounds too good to be true! lol
ReplyDeleteI love all of the bunnies that you have around your house! Such a fun way to decorate for Spring and Easter! Using the peeps as drink toppers is such a cute idea too!
ReplyDeleteYes yes and yes! I love all of your decorations and ideas. The food looks so yummy. I need to share our decorations before the holiday is over. Ha ha!
ReplyDeleteLove all your Easter decor!! All that food looks so so good! That cadbury trifle-wow!
ReplyDeleteI seriously can't believe it's time for Easter! Dying over those bunny plates, I think I need to order them. And your menu looks amaze!! I can't get over that Cadbury trifle!
ReplyDeleteI love the table decor. And thanks for the ideas on some Easter party recipes. I haven't figured out what to bring to mine and these gave me some ideas. Love those asparagus crescent rolls.
ReplyDeleteYour decorations are so adorable!! Love your little bunny plates!!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh that Cadbury trifle - that looks so good!! Thanks so much for sharing where you got everything around your home, too. Easter is one holiday I do not have enough decorations for!
