DIY Halloween Costumes

Halloween is right around the corner and there are so many cute costumes you can quickly and easily make yourself.  Because of travel, football games and such, I haven't dressed up for Halloween in years, but this year I finally have a chance to.  Derek and I talked about being Wendy and Squints from the Sandlot for months (pretty much because Rickie Fowler and his girlfriend did it last year) but at the last minute decided to go in our own directions for a costume and I spared no time searching for outfits (although mine is pretty simple)

I shared some of my favorite costumes below in case anyone else is still searching for an idea.  Why I didn't think to  be a wine bottle, I'll never know…

For Her:

Bubble Bath // Wine Bottle // Snow Globe // Donut // Coffee Cup // Crazy Cat Lady

For Them:

Wendy and Squints // Paula Deen and Butter // Soap and a Loofah // Toothfairy and a Tooth // Peanut Butter and Jelly // Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head

For Favorite Trends:
If I had a yellow dress, pink leggings or more time then I'm pretty sure I would have been one of my favorite summer trends…

Pineapple // Flamingo

This article has some very cute and cleaver ideas that aren't your average costume.

Is anyone else dressing up this year?? What are you being??

Happy TGIT!
Linking up with Thoughts for Thursday today.

  11. OMG, the snow globe one is amazing! My friends were Monopoly pieces one year and it was so cute. I'm like the least creative person ever though so I always end up throwing on a sports jersey and bootie shorts and call it a day, ha!

  12. Love these! I'm obsessed with Halloween, but I have to work this year, so I'm not sure I'm going to be able to dress up. If I do, I want to be a Minion.

  14. These are so fun! I especially love Wendy and Squints from The Sandlot...I just love that movie! I haven't dressed up in awhile, although one of my favorites in college was a chef. Another girl let me borrow her costume, but it was so simple, a chef hat and an apron that said "kiss the chef" with sparkly lips on it. I just wore a black top and shorts under and done! So fun...now I want to dress up again! Can't wait to see what you guys ended up going with!

That is one of my favorite movies of all time! As a matter of fact, the other day at work, I told somebody, "You're killing me, Smalls!" and he looked at me like I was crazy. Haha.
