Friday's Feature

Feature:

Between the heatwave this week (the worst hot & sticky days) and catching a cough on the plane ride home that just won't go away (thankful that it was the ride home, not there) this frozen yogurt was much wanted and needed.  It completely hit the spot, cooled me down and soothed my throat.

Win win win.

Other Happenings:

+ To catch up from vacation and get ahead of the mess before the weekend started I did six loads of laundry the other day.  SIX.  In one day.  I definitely felt accomplished going to bed that night.  Now to put it all away…

+ We've been in our house for a little over a year now (one year post: here) so we started getting some of our "one year punch list" taken care of this week by the builder - hard to believe in a month or so this house will be 100% finished and perfected.

+ The official start of football season is just around the corner.  A past Dallas Cowboys cheerleader started up a sight with apparel and such for sports.  The "home is where the field is" shirt perfect for game days and I need it very soon.

+ "Let's grab a drink" - the most said statement.  Grabbing drinks is the most popular way to get together (I know it is for me) and we've become the generation that's obsessed with getting drinks.

  1. Shouldn't we all get a vacation after our vacation? The laundry monster when you get home is just the pits, isn't it? Glad you got it out of the way and enjoy some ice cream too. Ice cream makes it better! Aweomse you are getting your punch list taken care of, woohoo!

I LOVED Sydney as a cheerleader, she is gorgeous and such a great ambassador for the DCC and I immediately started following her new shop when she announced it. They have some great sports clothes, don't they? I have a few on my must have list!

    HAPPY FRIDAY, GORGEOUS! xoxo

  5. So glad that the ice cream hit the spot and helped your throat. The days have been SO gross around here...it's almost hard to breathe with all of the humidity. I was happy when I went out today and it was much cooler!
I totally think we're the generation of grabbing a drink. It's a quick and fun way to catch up with people...interesting article Hopefully one day we can grab a drink! ;)
Hope you have a great weekend!

  6. That "Home is where the field is" shirt sounds so cute! And putting up laundry is definitely the worst. I have no problems doing laundry and folding it, but getting it back to my closet is a whole other story. Hope your cough is getting better, it always sucks coming back from vacation sick.

  9. 6 loads of laundry - thats amazing! I am all about doing the laundry too but putting it away....yeah thats the struggle

  10. I can't believe you did 6 loads in a day! The worst part of laundry is the folding part--sometimes I leave clothes in the dryer for 2-3 days because I don't feel like folding and then our laundry piles up haha!

  13. With all that laundry, you definitely deserved a fro-yo treat! We're on the packing end of vacay prep right now, but I know that the huge laundry pile is in my not-so-distant future too!

  14. That shirt is so cute!!!! And good for you on the laundry!! I am so bad, if I get the motivation to do several loads often I leave them in the dryer for a few days to avoid all the folding haha!

  16. Lovin' that gameday website! The "I vow to always love you, even during football season" might be my favorite (especially when your significant other graduated from your rival school...)

  22. That's so, so true about "let's grab a drink" because 1 out of every 100 people probably think you don't mean alcohol at this point hah. SO ready for football season! Happy weekend :)
