This has been our first weekend home in too long. Lots of relaxing, catch up, a night with family and also some good friend time. Plenty of deck time/outdoor time and probably too many puppy cuddles… you'll see a repeat theme below. A nap each day and sleeping in was the perfect way to hit the refresh button. I had a few magazines left over to flip through and a stack of books to get through and so some good reading time was logged. Football, church and organizing (our closets to make some space for the big fall clothes switch in a couple weeks) - three of my favorite things - rounded out the weekend.
Photos weren't a high priority but I do have a few… In fact, I'm still sort of on my relaxed "weekend time" so I'll keep this short and sweet and be back to normal tomorrow with the first part of our California trip to share.
Fresh blooms to start off the weekend. I wasn't really feeling any of the other color roses on display at the store - probably because it was picked over as I went late in the day but something got me with the cream roses and I've been enjoying them ever since.
We wanted to be low-key this weekend to catch up and relax so Friday night was a leisurely cocktail hour on the deck - complete with beautiful weather and followed by a BBQ.
Best perk of a stay at home date night - no make up, air drying hair and a comfortable romper. We spent the entire night on the deck ending out the night with ice cream.
The days started off with an almost fall weather feeling in the morning which I loved! It quickly warmed up but we got some walks before it got too hot.
I'm seeing a theme with this weekend - puppy cuddles and time on the deck. The weather was too nice to pass up and Stella was too cute to pass up when she jumped into my lap wanting to be cuddled.
Fall is just around the corner so I picked up a few more decorations to add to our collection. The "Give Thanks" and a few other pieces came home with me. Plus a halloween costume for Stella…
And last but not least, we hosted a Mexican night (my favorite)…

If your cute little deck goes missing one day, it might have found a new home in South Carolina ;) I love all of your deck pictures with the appetizers and drinks. That's the best way to wind down after a long week!
