What a gorgeous weekend this was. It was especially nice after such a rainy and cold week last week. We said goodbye to our friends yesterday after hosting them for a great weekend together.
What better start to the weekend than picking up some fresh flowers?!
We finally set up our furniture on our upper balcony that over looks the front of our house so cocktail hour took place out there on Friday to celebrate.
Our best group of friends we're coming into town for the weekend to visit and everyone arrived later on Friday night. We all met in college and it's always a blast getting together. All huge mexican food lovers, we had a fiesta planned for Saturday.
The girls at the Saloon bar in the basement
One of the girls brought some fun gifts for all of us - how perfect is this wine stopper?! Especially for a weekend themed around a fiesta! The boys got crowns because they are both huge divas. They wore them all. weekend. long.
The girls also picked up a piñata on the way in too. New friend for Stella? Or game for us?
What better way to start off the morning then a big brunch with an array of breakfast cocktails.
This group is big on brunch. Who isn't?!
After some naps, a little bit of shopping, we rallied and it was fiesta time! A lengthy cocktail hour, an overload of mexican entrees and plenty of drinks made for a great night.
These girls were all in our wedding and every time the group gets together we pick up right where we left off.
Best friends that turned into a little family. We conveniently caught the sunset in the back too.
This picture just feels like summer to me. Time on the deck, candles burning, drinks all around, laughing too much, talking too loud. Perfection.
Yesterday was the "perfect" Sunday. Once we got the house back in order, there really wasn't much to do! We set up our new bar stools in the kitchen and then Derek went off to play golf and I got some sun on the deck and caught up on some DVR.
Here's to a new week!
