Friday's Feature

Feature:
How perfect would it be to just pull a confetti popper… or two out of your purse at a wedding?!

It's all about celebrating and love this Labor Day weekend Friday.  We're headed out of town later today to celebrate a college friend's wedding this weekend.  We'll also be celebrating our anniversary all weekend long.

I planned to share about some good one year anniversary {paper} gifts today but my husband convinced my boss {the best mom ever} to let me have a surprise day off yesterday and we were out way too late celebrating an early anniversary so for today, these fabulous poppers will have to do.  I'll get back on track next week… I'm already in a long weekend state of mind.

I need to teach myself how to make these!

Other Happenings:

+ Speaking of celebrating - Lauren Conrad is releasing a new book on hosting {article here} which will probably be the best thing ever since she's the hostess with the mosses.

+ I went to my first dry bar yesterday.  I think they might be my new favorite thing.  What a perfect concept - get your hair washed, dried and prepared to go out.  Sign me up as a regular.

+ One Target location in Chicago will be offering beer, wine and liquor to enjoy cocktails WHILE you shop starting in October.  Can you imagine if ALL Targets do this?? Amazing! {article here}

+ I'm dog obsessed, I think a lot of people out there are dog obsessed.  Here are a few items for those crazy dog people out there {article here}

+ Tomorrow is GAME DAY. We kick off our season on the road against Temple - the game actually just happens to be right here in Philadelphia but we'll be away.  Two weeks and we'll be back in Beaver Stadium cheering on our lions.  I  c a n n o t    w a i t.

Cheers to the Weekend!

Love LC so will definitely check out her book. Happy College football weekend, I'm so excited!!! The Buckeyes don't play until Monday but I'm excited to see football back on the TV! Have a FABULOUS weekend, love!

  2. Happy anniversary girl!! I'm hoping our Target does the same thing LOL although drinking and target might cause a lot of over spending!!! I tried to get my bride to do those poppers for her exit and her sister is making them :) xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

  3. Love the idea of confetti poppers!! Sometimes I want to get married again (to my husband of course!) to try out a bunch of Pinterest ideas! I'm dying to try a dry bar. If I had tons of money I'd always have someone else do my hair. Happy anniversary ( and what a sweet husband!)! Oh and Target + adult beverages?!?! Yes please!

  5. I love Lauren Conrad so I will have to look for it when it comes out! And I love that your mom is your boss! My mom and I work for the same school system, so we see each other at meetings sometimes and I love that--but I would love it if we worked in the same building. What do you do?

  7. I loved my trip to Dry Bar too! It just makes you feel so pampered! The same thing happened with us and the first Aggie game this year! The game against Arizona State just happens to be in town but we'll be out of town! At least there's always TV so we don't have to completely miss it! Have a great long weekend and happy anniversary!

  24. Target serving cocktails?!?! I would never leave!!!! Think of all the trouble we'd get in... we'd get tipsy and then spend $300 more than the $100 that we didn't even intend to spend in the first place! Hahahaha. T-R-O-U-B-L-E. And brilliant on Target's part! ;o)

  26. What the what!? People are going to start going bankrupt if you can drink while you shop at Tar-jay! That is pretty much amazing, and genius, to say the least. LC's book is definitely going on my Christmas wish list. Happy weekend, lady!
