Nantucket 2021

Back in June we had another great trip back to Nantucket - we learned that we actually preferred going at the start of the season, it was a little bit cooler, a little bit less crowded and a little bit less expensive.  Tatum was so excited to go on "the big" boat or otherwise known as the ferry to get onto the island.  When we got into town we went to the (very little) kids aquarium, walked around to the shops and had lunch at the Tavern in the center of town.  Then it was off to Brandt Point Beach - I love this one because you can watch the boats come and go from the harbor.

We had dinner right there at our hotel, The White Elephant, that night at the Brandt Point Grill, which we'd liked from the year before.  It's outside over looking the water and then we could walk right back to our cottage afterwards.

The next morning we did something we wanted to do last year but didn't book in time - rent a car and drive around the island.  We started off at Downyflake Donuts and then over to 'Sconset and the 'Sconset Bluff Walk.  We had a little time to kill and I saw my favorite author and Nantucket favorite, Elin Hilderbrand was signing every Wednesday at Mitchel's Cook Corner at 11am so I quickly waited in line and got her new book.
