Tailgate Treats: Sausage Bites

With all the tailgating that we do I figured it would be a good idea to share my recipes plus to help myself remember them from season to season.  Last time I shared about pepperoni pizza rolls and for today's tailgate treats is another crescent roll deliciousness - sausage bites.  They may be my new favorite treat - we've made them twice before and are already on the tailgate menu for this weekend.

Sausage Bites:
These little bites are so delicious and everybody is always reaching in for more than one.  Best part is that they only have three ingredients and are super quick to prep.

Ingredients:
1 lb. turkey sausage
1 8 oz. block cream cheese
2 packages of crescent rolls

Directions:
+ brown the sausage then mix the cream cheese into the pan with the sausage until blended

+ roll out one package of the crescent rolls on a baking sheet then spread the mixture evenly on top

+ unroll the second package of crescent rolls and lay on top of the mixture, then press the sides together to seal the bites

+ bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes

+ cut into squares, put on game day toothpicks (optional) and enjoy
