Derek's in charge of Stella in the morning and after he lets her out and feeds her, we've been letting her start getting into bed with me for a couple extra minutes of sleep - Clearly she has no understanding of personal space.
sleep top: nordstrom (It is so comfortable but I couldn't find it online. When I searched the brand I did however, find this amazing and NEW pineapple pajama set which I can't stop lusting after and would have gone perfectly with monday's post.
We had a terrible storm Tuesday night and most people in the area lost power and well into the next day. Our office, my parents and some friends were without as well as the shopping strip next door to us but our power remained on, luckily! This was the first big storm in the new house so I wasn't sure how that would go. Anyway, my parents and Nash spent the day at our house on Wednesday.
Stella and I enjoying a glass of wine after our weekday work hosting gig and also waiting for a late dinner reservation which never happened…

We had a later than usual reservation for dining under the stars and since some of the family was still missing power we did a drink on the deck before leaving which was a good thing since when we walked up to the restaurant - all of State Street has JUST lost power. We went to plan B, still eating outside, just not on the street.
Seven froyo's after a hectic day and a plan B dinner is what I call a good ending to an interesting day!
Fresh blooms for the week. This time a surprise from the husband but I just can't get enough fresh flowers in the house!
I mentioned monday that the weather this weekend was terrible but late last week we did have some beautiful cooler days since the storm cooled things off. Even work can be done on the deck.
The rain cancelled our plans for the weekend and the rain also cancelled a handful of our friends plans for the weekend too which lead us all to staying home and out for dinner and drinks.
top: loft (now just $10!)
Things were finally cleared up by Sunday and we got to church amongst some other outings and finally getting to wear one of my favorite sale picks.
An impromtu mexican dinner, outdoors AND we met up with the family was one of my favorite weekly moments for sure.

ReplyDeleteThose storms were SO insane!!!! It woke us both up Tuesday night, and Cooper was shaking so badly :( Luckily it passed quickly and we kept our power, but it was a scary storm for sure. Glad that your place was alright!
As usual, I want your clothes. And your office is pretty.
ReplyDeleteOur dogs won't tolerate us being in the bed without them, not even for even a few seconds. If I even sit down on the bed while doing something on my cell phone, they cry.
