quiet moments at The Breakers pool after a rain storm and early happy hour
at one of our favorite spots - The Seafood Bar
Derek headed out for the golf course early so I had the chance to sleep in, have a little sweat session at the gym and then head off to the massage! I usually book all of our activities and meals but give Derek's number as the confirmation just so they bother him but not me, ha! This time it paid off - when the spa called him to confirm, he upgraded me from a 50 minute massage to an 80 minute - what a great surprise! It was a very relaxing and peaceful hour or so spent at the spa.
I couldn't help but laugh because it was so nice and sunny when I went into the spa and then pouring rain for my walk back - so Florida! Luckily it stopped quickly and we made our way to the pool bar for some drinks and lunch.
We each had margaritas to start but I was very into peach drinks most of the this trip
We logged a lot of beach time today and a nice walk for me before finishing off the day lounging by the pool. I always love any day when you can stay out in the sun until 4-5pm ish because I love dozing off as the day turns into evening.
Dinner tonight was at Taboo, a classic Palm Beach location right on Worth Avenue. The setting inside was darling and we lucked out with a booth right near the fireplace. We split a caesar salad and mussels for appetizers then I went for a pizza (delicious!) and Derek some fish.
Dinner didn't take too long so we strolled the avenue with the palm trees all lit up and made our way over to The Chesterfield Hotel and the Leopard Lounge. It was a fun and older setting with great music and perfect for grabbing a post dinner drink.
Day Four: Worth Avenue
This was our morning to switch over to The Breakers and we were nicely sent off with some candy and waters. We lucked out and a room was ready right away so we were able to drop our stuff off before taking off for shopping.
The morning was spent strolling up and down Worth Avenue with a mix of window shopping and picking up a few treats to bring home. Derek's big stop was his favorite - Brooks Brothers and I found Roberta Roller Rabbit, which was a little hidden but picked up a couple tassel necklaces for the beach. Speaking of the beach, the end of the strip leads over to the beach so after taking in the views we headed off the path a little bit to my favorite finds - C. Orrico (a Lilly Pulitzer signature store) and Rapunzel's Closet which had the cutest little cards, accessories and clothes. I scooped up a little "wish you were here" clutch to tote my stuff to the beach.
I really loved all the dog touches - there were water bowls outside (and custom to every) store that had me wishing Stella was down there with us!
After getting back to the hotel it took us all of two minutes to get down to lunch. On our last visit Derek got a lobster roll that I remembered being delicious so I was happy to have that - with a frozen peach bellini drink.
We tested out the beach for a bit but after feeling how windy we opted for the pool for the rest of the day. Late in the afternoon a few huge rain clouds rolled in so we got a spot at the pool bar under cover for an early happy hour and met a nice young couple to chat with.
Another favorite from our previous trip was Flagler's Steakhouse - everything is delicious there! We took the trolley over for dinner out on the upper porch (would recommend being outside!) for an amazing meal. Steaks for both - bone in filet for him and petite filet for me, and we split an amazing mac and cheese. It was topped off with warm chocolate chip cookies which literally put us into a food coma - so filling!
We could never get sick of this bar, seriously! It was another repeat favorite from a previous visit so we made sure to go each night. More on that later.

I am going to need to have your husband call my husband and convince him to buy bathing suits like your husband. He absolutely hates buying swim suits and whenever I pick one I like he says no and walks away. Maybe I should just surprise him with one...then he has to wear it right?
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful trip!!! Definitely super jealous. Thanks for sharing.
