The only room we have left is… the laundry room! It's a nice bright room - the walls are a pretty light teal and spacious enough although not too big. Since this room wasn't high on the priority list it sort of fell through the cracks but it's time to do a little DIY, organizing and decorating in there.
Dream room - Yes?
+ A hard countertop, probably on top of the washer and dryer for space saving, would be ideal. It would also help me to fold the clothes right away and not let them just sit in the basket.
+ The room is already one of the brightest in our house (I knew Derek wouldn't be in there much and we can keep the door shut if people are visiting) so I'd love a rug design to make the room pop.
+ We have a utility sink but the wash area for feet/pets could be something to think about in the future. I'm thinking Stella would enjoy a warm rinse in there as opposed to being dumped into the sink.
+ First up on my list, some nice decor, wall hangings and maybe even a new light fixture to brighten things up a little bit.
Such beautiful inspiration! What did people do before sites like Pinterest?!

I'm like you...I painted my laundry room a brighter color because I'm going to be in there often! I love the idea of putting a runner down....I need to do that! I've really got to work on getting some pictures hung in there so it looks more inviting!

Ummm that first laundry room is amazing! I'm not sure why you'd (I mean anyone not just you) would need a laundry room that big, but it's outstanding. I love all of your wants for your room. A fun rug is a must!!
ReplyDeleteLove all your inspiration! I think it would be so fun to have a laundry room to decorate. You should check out iheart organizing blog - in her laundry room she has these super cute wall hangings that sound like they would go with your bright wall color!
ReplyDeleteIn my dream home I will have a HUGE laundry room with a wash area for the doggy. I drool over all those pictures!
ReplyDeleteOh definitely beautiful dream inspiration!!! I hope my future home has a laundry room!! Best wishes on yours!!
ReplyDeleteThat first picture - swoon!! We had a huge laundry room in our old house and our new one is rather tiny and open to our kitchen so I feel like I can't have a bright color like I did. I do have a bright pink rug in there and I love the pop of color! Tiny space but the pink sure makes me happy.
ReplyDeleteYes to having all of those things! Our laundry room is tiny and only has enough space for the washer and dryer and two cabinets above. In our next house, I definitely want a bigger one with a space for a drying rack, a sink and have it be more of a "mudroom"/laundry room combo as opposed to just the tiny laundry room!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the final product- all of your inspiration pictures are beautiful! I would love a little doggy shower in my future home. I just think they are the cutest!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous laundry room inspiration! I'm super thankful our laundry room is upstairs with the bedrooms, but we are lacking any pizazz in there. I'd love a counter top and a little doggy bathing area. Can't wait to see what you guys do with your space <3

Your dream laundry room is gorgeous and I think that it's probably nicer than my kitchen lol! If my laundry room was as pretty as that I'd definitely be more open to doing laundry! I love the idea of having a sink or something that could be used for washing off dirty pets or feet!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had a huge laundry room!! Right now all the left over stuff from the wedding is in it, I seriously need to go and clean that out ASAP.
ReplyDeleteGawd, I would die for a laundry room like that first one! Right now our laundry room is actually in the basement..womp. However, we are in the process of moving it upstairs so its not such a hassle to do laundry! I'm so excited! It will still just literally be in a closet in the hallway, but thats still WAY better than in the basement!
ReplyDeleteGreat pins, lady! LOVE your inspiration.
ReplyDeleteWow, that laundry room is seriously bigger than my kitchen. Haha that would be amazing though!
ReplyDeleteA combinations of pictures four and six would be the best laundry room for me. Hanging space for clothes that air dry and then folding space. Both of which we don't have now :(

love that ironing board table! Our laundry room is in the basement, its for the space aspect and being out of sight but its cold and very limited to make pretty! cannot wait to see what you do!
ReplyDeleteI love what can be done with a laundry room!! This inspiration is so gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLove all your inspiration. I would love to have a laundry room!! It's the one thing that sucks about having a condo. No room for it.
ReplyDeleteThis inspiration pic is so pretty!! I look forward to seeing what you guys do with your space!
ReplyDeleteThis inspiration pic is so pretty!! I look forward to seeing what you guys do with your space!
ReplyDeleteThis is so fun! I'm with you on air drying stuff - I told Ryan he may have to make a couple wall racks when we get to renovating that space. Can't wait to see how yours comes together!
ReplyDeleteI love these inspiration pictures! Right now we're sharing the laundry facilities in our building, so I just dream of a day where we can have our own machines haha!
ReplyDeleteWe updated our mudroom a few years ago with just some little tweaks (a bright new rug and cabinet, fancy knobs for the cabinets, and a copper drying rod). These little things make the not so fun task of laundry a little better!
ReplyDeleteWhen we build our forever home, I definitely want a folding area & hanging racks. It would just make life so much easier! Love your inspiration photos!

Oh my... that first photo is amazing!! We have a little laundry closet and one day I'd love to add some nice white cabinets in there for storage. Thankfully my husband painted it a nice light/teal blue right before we moved in so that makes it a little more fun lol Can't wait to see what y'all do!
ReplyDeleteOh my, these are all so great! I dream of a fabulous laundry room one day, can't wait to see how yours turns out!
ReplyDeleteOur laundry room is the only room that we haven't done anything with either. Ours is really small, though, but I have a few ideas that I want to implement eventually. I just need to find the time. I can't wait to see what you do with yours!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE the idea of a rinse area! That just seems so logical to have!
ReplyDeleteLove these ideas for updating a laundry room!!

Fabulous inspiration! Can't wait to see how yours turns out. My laundry room is too tiny to do anything fun with it.
ReplyDeleteWe're doing an addition soon that includes a laundry room! I'm already looking at inspiration! A pet shower would be so awesome.
ReplyDeleteWow! That WOULD be an amazing laundry room! So much space! I love that our current house has a utility sink next to the washer and dryer. So helpful!
ReplyDeleteThat laundry room would be amazing. I would love to redo ours and if we renovate the kitchen, we definitely will include the laundry room since they are close to each other.
ReplyDeleteFor a second, I totally thought that the first picture was your actually laundry room. Talk about envy!
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous that you have a designated laundry room! Ours is in a bathroom, but my next house will totally have it's own space! Love all of your inspiration - can't wait to see what you guys do with it!
ReplyDeleteOh how I want a huge laundry room too! Utility sink is a must and then yes, built in drying racks. Right now I'm taking over our basement with hang drying clothes. I have three racks and even that doesn't seem to be enough!
ReplyDeleteThat wash area is a great idea for kids and pets!! I would have never thought of that!!
ReplyDeletei love laundry room inspirations, like these! i have dreams of making mine all fancy pants. i love the bathing area for kids/pets/shoes. genius!!
