At the end of June we had a wonderful long trip out to California - we started with three nights at Disneyland first. Our flight got in a little after 1pm so we dropped our bags at the hotel and got settled then went to check out the parks. We stayed at the Grand Califonian Hotel which connected to Disney Adventure so we did that first. I got a lightening lane for Web Sligners, the Spiderman ride, and that was a huge highlight for Tatum! The line was super short for Under the Sea so we did that, Jessie's Critter Carousel and a few other things on the pier before getting snacks and going over to Disneyland.
The lines were pretty long for everything so we went back to cool off at the hotel and got the boys food in the lounge. We were trying to keep them up to adjust to the timezones and they both did really great with that. Tatum even was able to stay up until dark so we could see World of Color - he fell asleep immediately after though and Derek and I got room service then right to bed.
The next morning we were up early and walked into Disneyland right around when it opened. We did a bunch of things in Fantasyland right away before lines got long - Alice in Wonderland, Dumbo, Pinocchio, Snow White then we tapped into our Genie Plus items in tomorrowland - Autopia and Buzz Lightyear. After this we took a break for the highlight of the morning - Breakfast with Minnie and Friends at the Plaza. Tatum went nuts over the characters - he was so excited - and they were back to hugging/signing autographs so that was fun. Teddy was absolutely terrified but enjoyed his meal.
The boys had Genie plus for Splash Mountain then it was getting really crowded, hot, long lines so we headed back to the hotel to take a break in the lounge. We slipped back over to California Adventure for the Disney Jr. Dance Party then caught a few characters too.
We went to the Disneyland Hotel for dinner at Goofy's Kitchen. Tatum was in heaven with the characters parading around many times during our meal. Afterwards we walked back over to Disneyland for the Main Street Electric Parade before calling it a day.
