Weekend Scenes

We had a few cancelled plans over the weekend including some things we were really looking forward to like Brunch With Santa because things started to shut down around here again but still fit in as much fun as we could.

We've been trying to do a little craft or Christmas learning each day...

Friday night we had a small family Christmas party instead of our usual larger adults only - it was actually very fun to plan for the kids - we made a few foam crafts, played pin the nose on Rudolph, made Reindeer food, watched a Christmas movie and the littles got to do their gift exchange.

Saturday morning we had a lazy morning sleeping in, playing and cleaning up from the night before. Around lunch time we set out to drop off our Angel Tree gifts at church and to another spot for our adopted Christmas family.

That night we did dinner in a heated tent outside at a restaurant (our only option) and went to a live nativity.  Tatum was promised a sleepover on the couches with Daddy by the Christmas trees and he did great - fell asleep right away so we watched a Hallmark movie and slept all the way through the night.

Sunday since our brunch was cancelled we made extra Reindeer Food with leftovers from the party then had a little at home brunch with a small group of friends.

To finish off the weekend we had a visit from Santa in our neighborhood - it was supposed to be a much larger event but with the restrictions it was scaled back and we could at least keep our times lot for a distance visit and a few minutes of chatting which was great because Tatum was ready to share his list and the Santa was great!
