Boy Oh Boy! It's a boy!!! 

We are thrilled to share that it'll be a baby boy joining our family this fall.  Derek jokes that since we have Stella it evens out the family, ha!  Derek thought boy the whole time and I was sure it was a girl - until about a week before I started to think it could be either.  I started feeling more and more boy and after I spoke with the nurse in the morning something kept telling me boy.

I am so excited to be a boy mom and to say that Derek is thrilled for a son is an understatement.  

We've been so excited since finding out and now that I'm in the mindset of it's a boy, I honestly can't picture it any other way.  Our decision of finding out before the party was the best! I loved enjoying the secret for a bit first as well as being able to watch everyone else's reactions.

Finding out was really was our best day.  We found out at 12 weeks, I'd had the blood work done at 10 weeks (those two weeks were hard to wait!) The nurse shared the test results (all good!) and said that she had the gender if I wanted it, it was so quick and I almost needed her to repeat everything.  It was so surreal.  

I had Derek pick up the envelope on his way home from a meeting (I had to wait about two hours to get ahold of him - I was dying to tell him today was the day) and I came home early around mid afternoon so we could go over to the new house and open the envelope in the playroom.  We knew before we even opened it - we could see the blue highlighter as soon as we pulled the results out of the envelope! 

I was so excited to tell my mom - we let her open the envelope a couple days after us.  We told my dad and brother with an exploding golf ball on Master's Sunday (the timing wasn't planned!)

We've already started shopping for all things blue and white - I think onesies are the absolute cutest.
