It's been a whirlwind few weeks around here - we went to New York City for an event, had our annual family vacation to Florida just the three of us and Derek's been traveling for work. We had yet another snow over the weekend but this week it's suppose to hit 70 degrees here... in February!
Last weekend we went up to New York City for the night - our first overnight out of town without Tatum!
We did a little happy hour just the two of us and then met some old friends for dinner before finishing the night with a bunch of friends for drinks.
Saturday we participated in Cycle for Survival and it was the best event! We cycled on and off for four hours and then all went out to brunch before heading home.
Have a good week! xx

Tatum's Nursery
I meant to share this post when he was about two months old and since he'll be four months on Friday, I'm only a little bit late - better late than never is what I keep telling myself these days! When we heard "boy" I immediately knew I'd go navy blue instead of light blue. I wanted to keep the room simple and at first it was just navy/white - that the red/teal got incorporated was sort of on accident but it just worked out that many items matched.
His furniture is a mix of items from Pottery Barn Kids - I tried to keep in mind pieces that could transition into a big boy room too. We have a fairly big storage room downstairs so anything like his pack n play, stroller attachments, etc. we keep down there to keep the cluttering out. He has a few toys in the bins and I'm sure when he can play he'll have a few more but for now we mostly play downstairs in the playroom (will share that soon!)
For now I love keeping it clean and "perfect" - I know the days will come soon where he can pull things off the shelves and they'll be everywhere - and that's okay! I usually tidy it up each morning to be clean for the day.
In addition to the monogram on the wall, he has a bunch of personalized items in his room - I couldn't help myself. I take his weekly picture every Monday and keep up with his blocks based on the week. The "Tatum" train is one of my favorite items we have and the two little lambs are from flower arrangements at my baby shower... as is the stuff lab dog, from my mom. The bins at the bottle keep socks and burp clothes.

Two of guestbooks have a little suite attached so we figured we'd take advantage of the space and use for the nursery. The little shelf to the side will be great for once Tatum actually plays more and his anywhere chair I'm sure will be moved downstairs eventually but for now we use it for his monthly photos.
He has his own bathroom so we just started doing his baths up there with his little bathtub in the big tub - under the sink I store extra wipes, soaps, extra diaper bag items and such.
His second set of bookshelves is more storage - the bottom bins have a few toys, books and stuff (literally), a stack of blankets that we're always using, a few wooden pieces and two accent lamps.

This & That
We've been celebrating the Super Bowl all weekend long and into the start of this week. While I love cheering on the Cowboys with Derek, as long as they aren't playing each other, I love cheering on the Eagles too and this city has been such fun the past few days - a very exciting night! We had about thirty or so people over and this is just one of the two tables of food.
The celebrating went late into the night so this was definitely how we all felt come Monday morning this week...
In addition to the Super Bowl, we also celebrated my mom's birthday a few times over the weekend - a delicious brunch + a dinner out - we love celebrating Lovie!
With how cold it's been, we've been staying in and cooking at home more and more - especially on Friday nights - it's been a great way to finish out the week.
Right about when Tatum hit three months we started playing and it seems like each week he's into it a little bit more - it's been fun to see him slowly pickup his rattles, hit buttons on his toys and things like that.
My mom had this onesie as part of the decorations at my baby shower along with a Stella look alike dog that one of my girlfriends got me and I'm so excited that Tatum can fit into it now - he loves his puppy squad... especially his sister.
Last week I went to a sign making class for a few girlfriends - I forgot to take a photo of the final product but this was mid way through - it was a great night out! Tatum is all boy and we watch enough sports to make me posing him in front of the Lilly Pulitzer x Philadelphia backdrop okay, ha - he helped me with some shopping last week.

3 Month Favorites
Tatum will be four months in just under two weeks but better late than never! At three months to the day just about he became so much more of a real little person - we've been having so much fun starting to play and somewhat have the hang of things.
A few of our favorites from this month...
Aquaphor: Tatum had a huge dry patch on his forehead and with this it cleared up in a day! He's had some dry skin on his belly and arms and this helps tremendously.
Comotomo Bottles: We alternate between these and the Tomee Tipee brand but these are the favorite - they rarely leak and he seems to like them the best.
Hand and Face Wipes: Every morning I wash his hands and face first thing - with germ season and the fact that he just found his hands and loves to eat/play with them - I'm always wiping his hands while we are out.
Summer Infant Brush: As he keeps slowly getting more and more hair, I love to brush it! He had a little bit of cradle cap so we'd use baby oil then during his bath use a brush to brush it right out - works great.
VTech Caterpillar: We are slowly getting into play and by that usually I hold a toy and do it for him or he sits in my lap and is slowly getting it - this toy is a favorite and easy to pack in the diaper bag.
Infantino Tee Pee: His favorite activity by far is laying on his playmate to kick - I love this tee pee because he can use it now as a play mat and keep using it for the next year or so until he's ready for a real one.
Fisher Price Kick N Play Piano: My parents got him this for Christmas and it's probably our most used toy - he loves this little piano - we just lay it under his feet and he plays away.
Similac Sensitive: We bottle feed and he's done so well with this from the start - we prefer the small liquid bottles as opposed to the large jugs - it just is easier. We use the powder version when we are out of the house.
Dock a Tot: This is probably our most used item. He slept in it in his bassinet for the first 2 months and now still uses it sometimes to lay and play on.
Fisher Price Swing: He is still loving his swing and will take at least a few naps a day in it.
Pacifier: Tatum is a pacifier boy and we always make sure to have a few on hand when we leave the house. We got a variety before he was born and he seems to like any kind - We always try to hook them onto something to not loose them.
Happy Monday! xx
