Tailgate Dip:
This dip is a tailgate staple and makes an appearance at most games. I've never met a person that didn't like this dip. It also takes about five minutes to whip up and then just needs to chill until time to be packed into the cooler.
Ingredients:
16 oz. fat free sour cream
shredded cheddar cheese - your choice how much, at least one cup
1 packet dry ranch dressing
bacon bits - your choice how much
fritos - scoops and/or regular
Directions:
+ Blend the sour cream and ranch dressing packet together
+ Mix the cheese and bacon in
+ Refrigerate until serving time
+ Serve with fritos - both sizes work, depending on how big of a dip you'd like
Another easy one - we made this for a post tailgate back at the house after the game since it's made on the stove but you could easily keep it warm in a small crockpot or insulated warmer to get it down to the tailgate site.
Ingredients:
1 pound turkey sausage (you can use regular too, I just prefer turkey)
1 block low fat cream cheese
1 can rotel tomatoes
Tostitos chips
Directions:
+ Brown the sausage on the stove
+ Melt down and mix in the cream cheese
+ Blend in the rotel
+ Stir until melted and fully blended
+ Serve with tostitos chips for dipping
*recipe can easily be doubled for a larger group*
