Weekend Scenes

Happy Monday!  We're coming off another weekend filled with lots of festive events.  We kicked off the weekend Friday afternoon as Derek and I went into the city to see The Nutcracker as we do each year - it's always one of my favorite date nights!  Lovie & Poppy came over to babysit and we had a quick visit to the Christmas village before grabbing dinner and drinks.

This is our fourth year going and each year we get a different nutcracker to bring home and add to our collection - as always we had a blast and enjoyed the show.

Saturday morning was a lazy one for us - and the afternoon too.  Other than going to the gym and grocery store, we had a relaxing day at home in pajamas.

Early evening we took Tatum to a local farm for a Christmas hayride filled with carols and looking at lights.  They had a cute Santa setup as well as bonfires and a big gingerbread house.

We got right back into pajamas when we got home and Tatum and I had fun matching.  Tatum got to stay up a little bit late to enjoy some Saturday night fun.

While Tatum ate his dinner he watched Derek and I make some Christmas cookies.  After he was asleep we ordered takeout and watched Christmas Vacation on the couch.

Yesterday morning Tatum was up bright and early - we did a lot of playing and he sat still long enough for Winnie the Pooh and Christmas Too.

Late morning we went over to Brunch with Santa at our country club - it was our first time going and we had a great time.  More on that tomorrow!  Tatum took a nice long nap on my lap while I watched Christmas movies and napped myself after.

To finish out the weekend we watched the Cowboys/Eagles game - with the exciting win in overtime Derek continues to refuse to shave as long as the Cowboys keep winning.

  6. I love that y'all go into the city and see The Nutcracker every year. I used to see it every year when I was little and it's still my favorite ballet to this day. We saw it in NYC in 2012 and it was a dream come true!
