Penn State vs. Pitt

It's the best time of the year!  We did an extra long weekend up in State College this weekend and had our first tailgate of the season.  Since things were quiet we headed up Thursday night and headed right for our favorite Mexican spot in town.  Friday we did some shopping, game day errands and enjoyed lunch downtown before things got busy before other family members started rolling into town.

Saturday we were scheduled for a 3:30 kickoff against Pitt and the weather was perfect so we headed down early for a long tailgate.  We had plenty of family in town and spent a great few hours getting back into the fall tailgating spirit.

A little off my tailgating game - my parents prepped for most of this one (I've already thought of a few things I want to make this weekend after scanning old posts).  We brought down the tailgate grill for hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans and such.  We munched on an array of appetizers throughout the day - buffalo chicken dip (and guac/salsa), tailgate dip, mozzarella, prosciutto and melon skewers, some little bites and a game day cookie cake from Wegman's.

We walked away with another big win for the second week in a row but still bounced back to the number five slot.  We should still be able to get in a good amount of games this season even with the baby coming - there's only one home game in October which go figure, is just days after he's due.

Another tailgate to plan this weekend... xx

  2. Fun! We still haven't been to an Aggie game this year, but we're planning on it sometime this month! It's always so much more fun when your team wins too!
