Christmas for the Home

I've mentioned before but I'm not a huge fan of Christmas posts before Thanksgiving.  As obsessed with the Christmas season as I am, there's plenty of time once Thanksgiving is passed! That being said, the day after Thanksgiving - it's Christmas decorating day in our house and I'm really looking forward to it.  I've always decorated the day after turkey day - except for the past few years we've been traveling over the holiday weekend and needed to do it the weekend before so it's nice to go back to tradition this year - plus with hosting our house is still in full fall decor.

It's time to be stocking up on any needed decor and each year I like to add to our Christmas decor with just a couple new pieces (good thing we'll have bigger storage at the new house!) and a few of my favorite picks are below...

Are you a tree before or after Thanksgiving type of person??

  1. I love the plaid deer pillow! I put our Christmas out before Thanksgiving because if I put that much effort into decorating, I want to enjoy it for more than a month!

  3. I decorate after as well. Usually it's on Saturday since I don't want to decorate while my inlaws are here because then my MiL will want to "help" and by help I mean tell me where to put things. Ha ha! I love all of the wall art. So cute!

  5. Growing up, we always decorated after, but now I like to do it the weekend before due to traveling. That way when I come home, I can relax and just enjoy!

  7. I hold off until the day after Thanksgiving as well since I consider it a fall holiday, but come Black Friday and it's a Christmas explosion at the house! Loving those dish towels and how cute are those cookie trays? Cheers to a fabulous and short holiday week <3

  8. If we weren't hosting, I probably already would have some of the Xmas decor up. So, I'm looking forward to decorating this coming weekend, too! Love all these picks!

  9. I seriously want all of this decor. It is so cute. I have a few things that are similar though. My husband doesn't like Christmas stuff before thanksgiving either! Have a great week!

  10. We are definitely the after Thanksgiving type of decorators in our house... but by "after" Thanksgiving, I mean Thanksgiving night. I'll be busting out our little tree then & all of the fun Christmas decorations as soon as the leftovers are packed away in the fridge :)

  12. I wrote the exact same kind of post today about not loving Christmas posts before Thanksgiving, but sometimes you just have to do it ;) I really don't mind decor posts like this, since we'll be decorating this weekend!! How is it already almost December?!

  13. Can't wait to decorate like crazy next year! This year we'll probably just stick to the tree considering we don't want to buy a lot of stuff just to move it a few months later. I love that reindeer pillow!
