If you missed the first recaps of our trip about our time in Sedona and the Grand Canyon, you can find those here and here.

Day Four: Phoenix: It was time to head down to a warmer climate and it was actually my step-dad, Steve's birthday, so Derek and I went down to the grab and go area to pick up some breakfast to bring back to everyone before we hit the road.  Before we spent the rest of the day at the hotel we stopped off in Old Town Scottsdale to walk around a bit and grab some lunch - some more Mexican, of course.

Our stay in Phoenix was at the Arizona Biltmore and the setting was fantastic - before running off to the pool for the afternoon, we all grabbed a drink in one of the outdoor lounges  and take in the setting.  The hotel hosts the only Lilly Pulitzer store in Arizona (how perfect!), a mini golf course (as well as regular golf), a huge chess set, many pools, a swim up bar and much more.

We spent the rest of the day enjoying the sun, the swim up bar, hot tubbing and the three connecting pools in the main section.  Derek grabbed a ride down the slide and there was a DJ since it was the weekend.

Our building had a suite with appetizers and drinks so we enjoyed some outside before doing birthday gifts in the room and since it was windy in the courtyard area having one more cocktail before dinner at Wright's Bar inside.

Derek and I visit Mastro's Steakhouse anytime that we are on the west coast and it's quickly become a favorite of ours (there's now an NYC location so that's at least a little closer!) so everyone was excited to try it - all the settings are different and this one was just as great.  Everyone over stuffed themselves and we all went for the famous butter cake for dessert.
