Spring Training

As I mentioned yesterday when in Florida this past weekend (you can read about that here), I took in a Phillies Spring training game with my parents.  The Phillies beat the yankees and the weather was perfect - it was a great day at the ball park.

Spring training is such a fun experience for any baseball fan - combine baseball, palm trees, sun and beer and what more can you ask for in an afternoon?  I've mentioned before but I did my college internship doing community relations for the Phillies triple a team so it's always fun to pop into other minor league parks (the Phillies single a team stadium plays host to spring training).

Another thing I'm a big fan of every now and then - baseball food!  We enjoyed some hot dogs and imitation crab fries (if you've ever been to Philadelphia than you know the love of crab fries!) along with a beer or two.

Happy TGIT!
Linking up with Thoughts for Thursday today.

  5. Baseball is always so fun! And yes your parents are super cute! I have a little bit of "spring break" next week and I'm really heading home to work BUT I'm catching a game at my alma mater (NC State) and I'm so excited! Does anyone like me like college baseball over professional?

  8. Looks and sounds like a lot of fun! Love your tassel necklace too. We live about 12 blocks away from Wrigley Field and it is fun to walk down there during the summer time. I haven't been to a game in a long time though. Clearly that needs to change! :-)

  13. That was one of my favorite parts of living in Florida!! The Braves do their Spring Training at Disney's Wide World of Sports and on practice days cast member get in free and can buy high discounted Spring Training games tickets. It was great!
