Friday's Feature {12/11}

Feature: Christmas Wrap
After this weekend we should (pretty much, most likely, hopefully) be done with Christmas shopping! After a meeting today I'm stopping off to have a  "stocking stuffers" run (see our stocking tradition here) and a couple more online orders should complete us.  Next week I'll have a couple wrapping days which are my favorite. I love wrapping.  If anyone in my family needs help or doesn't want to wrap I volunteer ask to do it because I actually enjoy it.  I spend much more time than I should picking out my wrapping theme - each and every year the paper.  I love it all.  I picked a few of my favorite wrapping ideas to share today (now, I don't get this creative, just a few nice corresponding patterns and some festive bows).

The joy, the christmas lights and the pinecone cable knit bag are perfection in my mind.

Christina Lea Loves Holiday Gift Guide…

Previous 2015 CLLoves gift guides:
stocking stuffers {under $25, under $50, splurge}
for the wine lover
something for everyone {gal, gent, monogram lover, home, jet setter}
for the lilly lover
under $35

For the Hostess:
'Tis the season for holiday dinners, family events, Christmas parties, work functions - the calendar is full of places to be.  I like to try to be creative with my hostess gifts - pending the occasion (my real favorite this time of the year is baking up a sweet treat and of course wine, always wine.  Okay, my actual favorite is bringing along our family's holiday drink - Christmas Cheer to let people enjoy). The candy in a shaker combines two of my favorite things, an adult beverage coffee mug is perfect because I don't enjoy coffee but in the winter I may enjoy an adult beverage out of that mug. The sloshed glasses are just two cute and I have never seen a cute cocktail napkin that I didn't like.
{one} {two} {three} {four} {five} {six} {seven} {eight} {nine} {ten}

For the hosts {holiday edition}:
In all honestly, my favorite thing to bring is something festive.  There are just too many cute options out there and I pretty much want every item below for myself.  The "Oh Snap" holiday card - how cute?! The snowman chalkboard is perfect because it will last the whole season and since I'm so into raindeer this year, I'd vote they last the whole season too.

Other Happenings:
+ This week some of our Christmas movies were… The Grinch, The Santa Clause, Elf, North Pole Open for Christmas, I'll be Home for Christmas (classic!), Merry Matrimony, A Crown for Christmas and a few more Hallmark movies.

+ I don't know how I feel about ABC family changing their name to Freeform but I do know how I feel  about the fact that they have repeatedly said the 25 Days of Christmas will continue with the new name next year - thank goodness.

+ Fourteen more days.  This season always flies by - it really does feel like just the other day that I started the countdown on here and had weeks and weeks to go.

+ Tomorrow College Gameday returns to Philadelphia for the second time this year, since we are playing host to the Army/Navy game.  Derek and I crafted our signs - Christmas (and Ponder family) themed, of  course.  You can check out my instagram tomorrow to see them and be on the lookout for us (who am I kidding, we will probably be back row and not seen, we have a holiday party tonight so we'll see how early we make it into the city tomorrow).

  1. Such great gift guides and wrapping tips! I'm with you, not so sure about this Freeform name change, but as long as we still get our Christmas movies [and harry potter] I'm okay. I am so excited for the Army/Navy game, hopefully my team will pull out the win. Can't wait to see your signs, hope you get to see SCOUT!!!!

  7. Can you make a special trip down to Texas to help me wrap gifts ;) Wrapping is always my least favorite part which is probably why I tend to leave it until the last minute. And it sounds like you've got a fun weekend with Christmas parties and Game Day! Hopefully you'll make it on tv!

  9. Yep, I'm the exact same with wrapping paper! Although this year the girls wrapped their friend gifts with my fancy paper, so now it doesn't match anymore. Oh the horror...:(

  14. I love wrapping!! When I lived with my parents, I would wrap all their gifts and my mom only had mine left to wrap lol I would get so upset because I would do a good job on everyone else's and my mom would ask my sister to wrap mine and because she didn't like wrapping, mine looked like crap lol!
